Nestled in the Cheshire countryside of North Rode, between Congleton and Macclesfield, from 2025, Swanley Meadows will offer couples the chance to celebrate their big day in a setting that’s charming, enchanting and picturesque.
Relaxed and rustic, Swanley Meadows is the perfect backdrop for a truly unforgettable wedding. There’s a remarkable 200-year-old beech tree that serves as a breathtaking natural altar for outdoor ceremonies, capacity to host up to 150 guests for a seated dinner and up to 200 for a standing reception or evening celebration, plus the venue is licensed for civil ceremonies, allowing couples to have both their ceremony and reception in one convenient location.

Four giant-hat tipis offer a versatile space, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings of the area, and there’s the option of bell tent accommodation for guests too, allowing everyone to stay overnight and fully immerse themselves in a fun wedding experience.
At the heart of Swanley Meadows is Jenny Baylis, who following breast cancer treatment last year, decided to turn her passion project and love of weddings into a business.
“Swanley Meadows is based at my late grandparents’ dairy farm, a cherished family estate for over 50 years,” she says, “I’ve lived on the estate since I was 18-months old, my dad was born here, and I’m raising my family here.”
It’s this personal connection to the land which makes Swanley Meadows so special, as Jenny applies the personal approach to wedding planning too.
“I am a hopeless romantic, and I meticulously planned and executed my own outdoor wedding, and my sisters. Whilst I do recognise that an outdoor wedding isn’t for everyone, Swanley Meadows truly embraces the beauty of the great outdoors!”
As the venue prepares to launch, couples can take advantage of competitive rates and wide availability for the premier seasons. They will take bookings between May-September each year. Get in touch today.
