RIP Rachel's 30s

RIP Rachel’s 30s

Major Milestones

Rachel celebrated the death of her 30s on Saturday 28th December, alongside 50 of her nearest and dearest at Frankies Wine Bar in Disley, Cheshire.

In true funeral fashion, guests were asked to wear black, as requested on Bramhall resident Rachel’s invitations.

“I chose the RIP my 30s party theme because I’ve been to several 40th parties this past year and most were 80s fancy dress, as we were all born in the 80s, so I wanted to do something a little different,” explains Rachel, “not to mention black is my favourite colour to wear, so I thought it would be quite a fun way to mourn the passing of my 30s!”

Arabella’s Balloon Boutique supplied the numbered display and table decorations – a surprise arranged by Rachel’s husband Chris, and Bramhall based bakery Lilac Pig provided Rachel’s cake, which was a heart shaped Victoria sponge in keeping with the RIP theme.

On the savoury front, Rachel’s guests pre- ordered tapas small plates or delicious main meals such as surf and turf loaded fries, provided by the wine bar.

A fabulous singer got the party started, singing throughout the evening in between rounds of themed bottomless bingo.

“Venue staff were supplying us with endless cocktails, prosecco, wine and beer brought directly to our tables,” Rachel laughs, “it was great!”

Late Last Night Music ended the night by playing famous dancefloor fillers with their own unique twist, to get everyone up on their feet and dancing.

“I’m really excited to have turned 40! I’ve recently started my own business, The Seasonal Wreath Company, so I am looking forward to growing it this year, and of course making memories and fun times with my friends and family.” – Rachel’s thoughts on turning 40
