De Vere Cranage Estate

Venue Guide

In the heart of the Holmes Chapel countryside sits Grade II listed Cheshire rural retreat – De Vere Cranage Estate.

Tucked away in a serene corner of Cheshire, the hotel and venue is as beautiful as it is peaceful.

Designed by celebrated British architect Lewis Wyatt, red brick, warm yellow sandstone, and pretty green lawns will greet you at this historic building. Formerly the country home of the aristocratic Armitstead family, the venue is rich in tradition and steeped in elegance, making it ideal for weddings, parties and private dining events.

The Appleton Suite with its period features and access to landscaped grounds, creates a romantic setting for a wedding ceremony, and the modern Stephenson and Baird Suites can accommodate between 280 and 400 guests for meetings, private parties and milestone events.

The Tempus Restaurant & Bar boasts warm lighting alongside natural wood accents for a contemporary yet tranquil dining experience. The menu, inspired by British classics, makes seasonal, simple food truly delicious.

If you want to celebrate the spring sunshine, opt to dine al fresco at the hotel’s Tipi & Outdoor Kitchen. The space is also available to hire in its entirety, making it an atmospheric spot for summer parties and corporate events to be enjoyed with friends or colleagues.

Thoughtfully furnished deluxe rooms, many of which are newly refurbished, offer modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and LCD TV, in addition to homely decor and scenic views. Doubles are from just £119 B&B.
