Actress Amy turned 30 last month, celebrating the milestone birthday with a fun-filled party at Santé on Didsbury’s Burton Road.

Champagne, gold and neutral decor was brightened up with pops of pink, complete with LED numbers and balloon display from Faux Fleur Event Decor. All elements – table decorations, balloons, party props, fairy lights and cupcakes – were kept a secret from the birthday girl, so she was truly in for a surprise.

After booking the venue, DJ and decor herself, it was best pal Danielle who organised the rest, spending hours sorting through photos of everyone coming to the event.

“She pinned them up with fairy lights which was a really nice touch,” smiles Amy, “she also sorted table balloons, 30th party props, cupcakes and a guest book alongside a polaroid camera so we could truly capture the event.”

“My dad said a few words which really meant the world to me,” concludes Amy, “as a family we have been through a lot. His wife, my mum died suddenly when I was 19 and he’s been my best friend ever since. It would have been amazing for her to see me turn 30 but she was there in spirit and in the photos.”

With a glam dress code in place, it was no shocker Amy danced the night away in a pink, glitzy gown by Nadine Merabi. DJ Mark Jay played a mix of pop, R&B and Latin music.

“Three days before the party I arrived back from South Africa, from my birthday trip with my dad. I’d heard some South African songs there which I loved and Mark made sure they were played on the night which made it so special!”

Excited for her thirties, Amy’s favourite part of the day was seeing her nearest and dearest, from all stages of her life, celebrating in one room together.
