On 7th September, the George and Dragon Restaurant in Holmes Chapel set the scene for Annabelle’s intimate baby shower to celebrate her new arrival.
“There were just 12 guests in total – not counting the partners who were enjoying the beer garden!” Annabelle laughs.
With a soft theme of dusty pink, sand, and white, the event celebrated the pending arrival of Annabelle and Adam’s first baby, a little girl.
The university sweethearts, aged 30 and 28, hosted a relaxed event complete with classic, delicious afternoon tea treats, pink baby bear biscuits and fun baby shower games.
“My favourite games that were played were the advice to parents and prediction games,” Annabelle says.
The pair, who have been together for nearly a decade, got married in July 2023, and are excited to become parents.
“We’ve wanted this for a long time,” Annabelle explains, “it’s the next chapter in our story. We’re both teachers, so it’s only natural that our love of children has made us keen to start a family. I’d definitely recommend being as prepared as possible and do lots of research, we’ve been doing The Baby Academy courses alongside our hospital antenatal classes.”

Annabelle’s new arrival, Alyssia, was born on Wednesday 23rd October at 6:58pm via c-section.
