Amanda and Jake’s baby is brewing!
The marketing agency owner and her fiancé Jake hosted their springtime baby shower filled with fun and games, floral decor and lots of afternoon tea, at Poppy Rose Vintage Tea Room in Northwich.
“I am very type A so planned everything myself,” laughs Amanda, “my mum helped to make favours for everyone though, and she covered the cost, which is always nice!”
The afternoon tea themed party was centred around all things ‘baby is brewing’ right down to the yellow and pink cake which featured a personalised topper and roses.
Amanda and her 32 guests enjoyed traditional sandwiches, cakes and scones, made by Poppy herself.
“Poppy was so accommodating of dietary needs right up until the day before the party. We’re frequent visitors to the tea room and have got to know Poppy personally over the years so we were really made up to be able to host the event there,” says Amanda.
Throughout the party, guests played classic baby shower games such as baby bingo, guess the bump size, baby prediction cards and how old was mum?
Amanda and Jake are due to welcome their baby girl this April, and share their thoughts on becoming first time parents:
“We’re both very excited about becoming parents, we have very busy lives and want to get married soon – even though this has been put on hold for now! We’ve just sold our house so we are looking for our dream family home. There’s a lot going on but it will be nice to be in a newborn bubble and pause the chaos for a while so we can soak up every special moment.” – Amanda
