It’s great to reach out to you all and keep in touch this way! We make such a connection with our clients during projects that when I get to write for Cheshire Engaged, it’s a way for me to really connect with so many other interior lovers. I hope you enjoy hearing what we’ve been up to, what’s to come and a few helpful design tips especially for you.

– Susie and the team x

Joinery! That’s the first thing the team have been doing in the mornings and the last thing they do before leaving. As designers, we use local, bespoke carpenters and we’re the ones that draw up the bespoke media units, add in mirrored panels, fluted doors, source the handles etc. It’s an extremely long process but joinery is what makes your entrance hall, lounge, bar, study or bedroom have that certain wow factor. It provides built in furniture too – but on a whole other level. Right now we are working on a lux home bar and 8ft media wall!

Trends…should you follow them or not? My honest answer is no. My reasoning behind this is your home should be a reflection of you and the people inside it – you need to walk into each room and love it! If everyone and every shop is going gold and bronze, but actually you prefer silvers and cooler colours then do what feels right for you. The silver trend will be back around again before you know it.

We’d like to introduce our newest team member to CPS. Charlotte is a BA Hons designer and has a background of working with high-end show homes and large developers. She’s talented; she knows every fabric and wood finish in the book and is extremely well connected – a true asset to our team. We’re a small but extremely personable and talented team of women and I’m so proud of everyone here at CPS.

Working on people’s homes is a joy and transforming life is invaluable. This year we’re looking to work with more private developers on high-end show homes and assisting with the design of one off luxury builds in and around the Cheshire area.
