Chloe and Chad have been together for 7 years and are tying the knot next June. The bride to be talks us through the proposal and their future plans…

“I’ve always known of Chad,” she says, “we met through friends a long time ago and have been together for seven years now. We’ve been engaged for almost a year, I can’t believe it!”

Chad proposed to Chloe whilst enjoying a staycation, after months of secretly planning the engagement with her nearest and dearest.

“We went away for a few nights with the dogs last July. Chad said we were going away for his birthday but little did I know I’d be coming back as a fiancée,” Chloe recalls, “we went for a long walk on one of the days, up a lovely little mountain called Roseberry Topping. That’s where he got down on one knee.”

The couple had recently moved into a new home and were planning some big house renovations, so the proposal was definitely unexpected.

The stunning emerald cut ring, set upon a diamond platinum band, was designed by Chad together with a local jeweller.

“I genuinely had no idea, it was an utter shock,” smiles Chloe, “I thought he’d fallen over at first, as I’d just done the same! I honestly cried for what seemed like forever. I forgot to even say yes!” – Chloe

Chloe laughs, “I couldn’t wait to show everyone my ring but the signal was shocking. We had to hang out of the cottage window to be able FaceTime my mum and tell her the news – I bet we looked bloody ridiculous!”

“It was the proposal I always wanted,” she concludes, “just me, Chad, Lexi and our now angel dog Izzy. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.”

The wedding & honeymoon

The pair will marry on 24 June 2023 in a gorgeous orangery at The Woodlands Hotel in Leeds, with a whopping 120 day guests and 180 night guests. The honeymoon to follow will be a luxurious three-week trip to Dubai and the Maldives.
