Adam and Eva tied the knot in a summer ceremony in Greece, after connecting online over 10 years ago.

Strangely, neither of us remember becoming friends on Facebook ten years ago,” says Eva, “we didn’t have
any friends in common, and Adam lived in Wigan! To this day we have no idea why we were even suggested as ‘Facebook friends’ but I guess it was a spooky twist of fate…now we’re married!”

Adam proposed in 2020 on Christmas Day at the couple’s home in Cheadle Hulme. “I opened my Christmas card to see the word ‘fiancée’ on the front,” says Eva, “I initially thought he’d bought the wrong card, but then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was pregnant with our daughter at the time, and it was so lovely that she and my little boy got to be at the wedding when it happened.”

The couple, who knew for certain that they wanted to marry abroad, decided on the same Greek venue that Adam’s dad had previously been married at 15 years earlier.

“IT MADE IT THE PERFECT LOCATION FOR US”

A cellist played in the grounds of the chapel which lasted the length of the ceremony, and Eva’s sister and mum performed readings before the vows, which was an extra special touch.

“It added something really nice to the ceremony,” Eva says, “although the real highlight of my day had to be the champagne cruise to our BBQ beach reception. We spent an hour relaxing on the boat drinking prosecco and frozen cocktails which everyone loved.”

The pair chose a rustic theme with neutral colour scheme, and the flowers were a mixture of white hydrangeas and lots of eucalyptus.

Creative Eva handmade all the guest’s favours and name cards by hand, and they weren’t the only things she designed herself…

“I personally designed my chapel length veil with waterfall crystals and falling diamantés,” she explains, “and I absolutely loved my rose gold embellished tiara which went with it, from EDEN LUXE Bridal.”

The bridal gown was Pronovias Haute Couture, purchased from The Knutsford Wedding Gallery, and the wedding party suits were from Moss Bros.

“Adam braved a full suit in the Greek heat. It was a good job he went for a light, linen fabric in the end,” Eva laughs.

Eva’s engagement ring and wedding band, both purchased from Steven Stone in Hale, are pretty and perfectly matching, but there’s a more sentimental reason as to why Eva loves them so much…
