Daniel and Jessica, a lawyer and a doctor, met via Christian dating app SALT, with Daniel popping the question back in May 2021.

“It was a total surprise,” Jessica says, “Daniel proposed in St Ives, Cornwall. He’d set up a picnic with Champagne on the beach, it was amazing.”

On their wedding day, the couple enjoyed an incredible church service, afterwards heading to their Ashford-in-the-Water venue to celebrate more with their nearest and dearest.

“Jessica fell in love with the venue as soon as we saw it,” Daniel says.

“It was completely beautiful, with an oak panelled balconied hall, incredible gardens and an underground nightclub,” Jessica continues, “in my eyes, it just couldn’t be beaten!”

36-year-old Daniel wore a three piece suit, complete with tails and cravat, whilst Jessica, 29, stunned in an ‘Essence of Australia’ princess gown, with sweetheart neckline and off the shoulder design.

“The food tasting was possibly the best part of the wedding preparations,” laughs Jessica, “and we chose a three-course sit down meal, the menu consisting of bruschetta, truffled chicken, and brownie with chocolate sauce.”

The cake was totally unique; a three tiered split cake with Daniel and Jessica figures sat on top, icing flowers trailing down the front and their house painted on the back.

Guests enjoyed spectacular entertainment; Daniel sang opera from the balcony, belly dancers performed to Arabic music to reflect Jess’ Egyptian heritage, and there was a band in the evening and a conga line to the nightclub.

“My favourite part of the day was the church service, which kicked off with wedding bells, that or pulling up in a 1960s cream Rolls Royce!” Jessica says.

“Seeing Jess walk down the aisle was the best,” Daniel smiles.

“If I could give anyone advice for planning their big day, it would be to have a detailed timetable for the day and distribute it to the relevant suppliers – everything needs to be organised! But also remember to take
time in the day just for yourselves. And, spend as much time together as possible enjoying it all,” Jessica concludes.
